Embedded DAQ
With Low-power ARM Processor and Linux OS
For the first time in history, the Dewesoft device is hosting an embedded low-power ARM processor. And what a processor it is...
Borrowed from cutting-edge technology of mobile devices, the integrated ARM CPU can do powerful things, and all this with very low power consumption.
The ARM processor is running brand new Dewesoft RT data acquisition software on Linux OS. The combination of Linux OS, ARM CPU technology, and Dewesoft RT makes IOLITE LX an incredibly flexible device with usages ranging from stand-alone data logging applications, real-time control systems, or just a signal conditioning system with cloud or Industry 4.0 connectivity. Possibilities are unlimited, and we have only just begun!
IOLITE LX is getting constant free software and firmware updates enabling new features. As always we will be listening to customers' needs and we will steer our R&D roadmap to integrate these needs. IOLITE LX is more than just a standard data acquisition system. It is a platform that will evolve and grow!

Integrated Data Storage for Stand-Alone Data Logging Applications
IOLITE LX has an internal 32 GB of data storage. In addition to that, we have included a storage expansion slot that supports up to 1 TB standard SD cards and a USB Type-C port for external drives. This transforms IOLITE LX into a stand-alone data logger, where data can be logged either into an internal or external connected SD card.
It is able to store any number of channels with a maximum sampling rate making it the perfect instrument for embedded data acquisition.
Stored data files can be reviewed and analyzed by anyone using the included powerful and award-winning DewesoftX data acquisition and signal processing software.
Dual EtherCAT Data Buses for Maximum Data Integration
Each IOLITE data acquisition system is equipped with two fully independent EtherCAT bus systems that work in parallel.
The Primary Bus
When IOLITE LX is switched to external master mode, the primary bus is used for perfectly timed and synchronized data acquisition. It connects to the PC running DewesoftX DAQ software and streams any number of input and output channels at high speed to the PC's hard drive.
The Secondary Bus
IOLITE's secondary EtherCAT bus can be used in two ways:
- Low latency front-end interface for any 3rd party EtherCAT compatible real-time controllers.
- Additional bus for redundant 3rd party data acquisition system in critical DAQ applications.

IOLITE LX DAQ Modules
IOLITE LX chassis can be configured with 8 IOLITE modules each featuring high-quality input and output signal amplifiers. The following amplifier modules are available:
- 6xSTG: Universal analog and strain gauge amplifiers.
- 8xSTGS: 8-channel strain gauge module. Supports full, half, quarter bridge, and potentiometer configurations.
- 8xLV: Isolated 8-channel voltage module. General-purpose voltage input with high accuracy and high channel-to-channel and channel-to-ground isolation.
- 16xLV: 16-channel voltage input module with a terminal block connector and channel to ground isolation.
- 8xLA: 8-channel isolated current input module with BNC or terminal block connector and.
- 8xTH: Isolated universal thermocouple amplifier. Supports any thermocouple type sensors.
- 8xRTD: Isolated universal PTx temperature, resistance, and voltage input module.
- 16xAO: 16-channel analog output module for industrial applications with ±10 V voltage output channels.
- 4xCNT: 4 channel digital counter input with SuperCounter® technology.
All IOLITE DAQ modules are equipped with two independent EtherCAT buses in parallel for both DAQ and real-time control.
Redundant Power Supply for Maximum Reliability
Every IOLITE LX data acquisition system is equipped with a redundant power supply completing the feature set for the ideal and reliable front-end system.
If the primary power supply fails, the system will be powered by a secondary power supply without any interruption or system shutdown/restart.
